The mind of a toddler
Who can understand the mind of a toddler? I wish he could talk, so he could tell me what he’s thinking. Tonight I was loading the dishwasher and he was “helping” me unload it. He was removing all the forks and spoons. That was fine with me since he was following our rule not to play with knives or scissors. I saw that he was gathering them, and taking them around the corner. I peeked to see what he was doing with them and laughed out loud. He was carefully sorting them out into his daddy’s boots – one for the left boot, one for the right. Isn’t that what everyone does with forks and spoons? “Um, hubby? You might want to check your boots before you put them on.”
